She told me she uses my education in her classroom

Recently, I received a testimonial that touched me deeply.

It came from Susan, a high school cosmetology instructor in New Jersey with over 42 years in our industry, including 16 years in education and more than 18 years owning and operating a salon.

Susan has had my haircolor books for over 16 years and is now studying both The Velasco Haircoloring System and The Velasco Haircutting System.

After exchanging a few messages, we spoke on the phone. During our conversation, she told me she uses my education to help teach her students in the classroom.

That meant so much to me.

After more than 50 years in this profession, I still find tremendous satisfaction in helping someone understand something that once felt confusing.

Knowing that my teaching is also helping an experienced instructor prepare the next generation of hairdressers is something I feel deeply grateful for.
