How to Visualize a Haircut
Sep 01, 2025In this video clip, I teach you how to visualize a haircut. Like when you see someone walking down the street or in a shopping mall and you notice that they have a great haircut, there are certain key elements that makeup that haircut. And if you could remember those key elements, you can reproduce that same haircut at the salon.
For Example: When you actually look at a haircut, notice what the profiles look like. The profile from the sides and also the profile from the front. Notice what’s going on at the front top of the head…Does she have bangs or no bangs? Is her hair off her face or on the face?… Notice what’s going on above the occipital bone area and what’s going on at the back nape area.
All of these different parts of the haircut comprise what I call in my course “Design Elements” and once you understand how to visualize these various Design Elements and then use them in combination with the haircutting techniques that I will teach you in the program, you’ll be able to reproduce any haircut you will ever see, whether it’s in person or even in a photograph. Watch and learn.
Enjoy,
David
