Bangs, Bangs and more Bangs…

On almost a daily basis I read on the different hairdresser forums where hairdressers are completely lost and frustrated when it comes to Cutting Bangs.

Just the other day this hairdresser posted “Can somebody please tell me exactly how to cut Curtain Bangs?… I’ve watched a ton of videos on YouTube and I still can’t figure them out“…

Then someone else writes “How do you make Bangs look Wispy without it looking like she’s losing her hair?“ ….

And another one says: “I’m Scared to Death to cut bangs on people with Curly Hair, every time I do they shrink up so short that it freaks me out and my clients always hate it“…

But the WORST Part of this situation is the Bad Advice that I see some people recommending to these poor hairdressers who are lamenting about their bang cutting issues… Things like: “Just bring all the bangs forward, twist them and cut it straight off” or “Use the longest scissors you have and cut them straight across while holding the hair close the forehead” or “Hold the bangs up at a 90° angle and Over-Direct them to the opposite side of the head and cut them off there” etc…

….With NO Regard for the Hair’s-Texture, Density, Growth Directions at the Hairline, Widows Peaks, the Overall Design of the rest of the haircut or any other of the variables that make up the proper Bang Cutting procedure..

All of these situations and many more are the direct result of NOT having a Haircutting System to go by.
